Fort Knox

Fort Knox was built as a precaution after the Revolutionary and War of 1812. There was some dispute as to where the boundary was, the British thought they had more. Anyway, it was never used and took a crazy long time to build.

This fort is not where they keep all the money, although it is named after the same Major General Henry Knox, the first Secretary of War. He must have been really awesome to have two forts named for him!
