Our 1st Anniversary

We decided that we would try Tepanyaki. I had seen it on the Food Network and thought that it would be fun, though I was a little bit wrong. We got to the restaurant and thought that we might need to go with more people. They sit you at a big table with people you don't know and then you watch the chef cook your dinner. It very flashy and we decided we'd rather do it with a group. So we ended up going to Chili's, which was wonderful. I was a little adventurous and tried shrimp. I don't think I will again but it was good to try. Eric had a Cajun steak with loaded mashed potatoes and cinnamon apples all of which he loved.

Since we were in American Fork, we decided to take State Street home, just to be different and we saw many interesting things. Chadder's, for instance, looked an awful lot like In-N-Out and when we got home we googled it and it turns out, it pretty much is. It has the same set-up and menu. We looked at the reviews and some people were very offended that people would dare to imitate In-N-Out even a little, other people said it was good. We look forwarded to trying it soon. Anyone else interested? Also along State we saw a tiny theater that was showing Bridge to Terabithia. In our spontaneity we went, and found out they don't take credit cards Since we don't carry cash with us, we had to go find an ATM. We both really liked the movie. It was a good story and very touching. Neither of us remember the book very well so we're not sure how it compares. All in all, it was a fun anniversary date.

Don't give up on shrimp forever, Mandy - it all depends on the recipe. Glad you had such a fun evening together. We were late getting your new address, but your card is on its way. . . Love you both very very much!
